Our Promise
At Steppin’ Woof!, caring for pets is just the beginning. We believe in doing good beyond the leash — building a kinder, stronger community for animals and the people who love them.
That’s why we promise to ALWAYS give BACK!
We’re proud to partner with Rise Above Animal Rescue in Pasadena, MD — the same incredible team that helped bring two of our cats home.
We’re starting small, since we’re small, with only $100/month, but as Steppin’ Woof! grows, our impact will too. We’ve pledged to raise our donations every year, up to 5% of profits once we’re fully established, and to add more deserving charities to our donations list, ensuring every walk and sitting helps another pet find safety, warmth, and love.
Because we don’t just walk dogs — we walk for good.
Rise Above Animal Rescue
Steppin’ Woof! is proud to shine our very first Woof! Pack Spotlight on Rise Above Animal Rescue, a dedicated volunteer-run rescue based right here in Pasadena, Maryland.
Rise Above does incredible work for animals who have nowhere else to turn — rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming dogs and cats from difficult situations. Every animal in their care receives medical attention, vaccinations, spay or neuter surgery, and — most importantly — love. They believe every life matters, and it shows in everything they do.
This organization holds a very special place in our hearts. Our own cats, Suki & Smoky, was rescued by Rise Above. When Smoky was found, she needed treatment for fleas and worms and the team made sure she got everything she needed to heal and thrive. Thanks to their care and compassion, Smoky now lives her best life — happy, healthy, and a little bit spoiled.
We’ve seen firsthand the dedication and heart that go into every rescue at Rise Above. They give animals not just shelter, but a real chance at a better life. Supporting them is our way of saying thank you — for saving our girl, and for all the lives they touch every single day.
If you’d like to learn more, adopt, or support their work, visit Rise Above Animal Rescue.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT DISCOUNT
At Steppin’ Woof!, we know that life looks different for everyone—and we’re here to help make things a little easier. That’s why we offer a 15% discount to clients with disabilities who need a hand (or paw!) with pet care.
Already booking multiple days? Don’t worry—we’ll always give you the biggest discount you qualify for. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about numbers—it’s about showing up for our community. 💛
Why We Cost a Little More Than the Big Apps — And Why it’s Worth it!
When you book with Steppin’ Woof!, you’re investing in more than just a walk — you’re choosing a service that prioritizes personalized care, reliability, and fairness.
Unlike big apps, where workers often earn the bare minimum, we make sure our walkers and sitters are paid fairly for their time and dedication. That means your pet is cared for by people who feel valued, respected, and motivated to give your furry family member the best experience possible.
You also get the peace of mind that comes with direct communication, flexible scheduling, and consistent care from familiar faces. Your pet isn’t just another appointment — they’re treated like family, with attention to their unique personality, routine, and needs.
By choosing Steppin’ Woof!, you’re supporting a business that cares just as much about people as it does about pets. And that little extra you pay goes directly toward making sure your pet — and the people who love them — are treated right.
